ALDI stocking Cart Noir this Autumn

For those who like a tasty dark brew, head on down to an ALDI store (Scotland only) near you in the next few weeks and grab yourself some of our award-winning Cart Noir – it’s a 4.8% smooth porter style ale which should go down very nicely in the autumn days ahead.

New bottled beer

We’re pleased and excited to announce that our Cart Noir (4.8%) is now available in 330ml bottles. Cases of 24 are available to purchase direct from ourselves.

New Award

We’re over the moon to receive another award – this time for our Ca’Canny (5.2%). It has just won “Best Ale” at the Nolia Beer Festival held in Sweden, which is a great achievement as it means it was the Overall Champion in the competition. Our distributors, Tjaerdalen Beer and Whisky, put the beer forward for us and and said “the judges were very impressed with it and recommended it to compliment game dishes”. This takes our current awards total to 56.

New Outlet

Tartan Army – Grab it while you can!

TartanArmy[1] jpeg

Kelburn’s Director, Derek Moore has for many years been proud to be part of the Tartan Army. He is a well known foot soldier who has been following Scotland home and away since the World Cup in West Germany 1974.
In 2007 Derek was asked to produce a beer for the Tartan Army and he did so with a light, zesty 4.3% ale of the same name.

Since then Tartan Army was available in casks when Scotland played competitive matches and more recently in bottles.

Due to new restrictions with using the name Tartan Army, Kelburn will not be producing any more casks or bottles with the Tartan Army name.

Now is your last chance to get a case of Tartan Army or two. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

A limited number of cases of a dozen 500ml bottles are available.
Call or email the Brewery for more details. – We can also now sell direct to the public.

For fans of this fine brew, we have plans to continue to use the recipe, but re-branded.

Licensed at last!

We are very pleased to announce that we are now licensed to sell direct to the public. This means our bottled beers, mini casks and polypins are all available direct from the brewery. Great for the festive season – for gifts or parties! Please call or email for more info. And coming very soon – available to buy online from this website. Watch this space!
