For those who like a tasty dark brew, head on down to an ALDI store (Scotland only) near you in the next few weeks and grab yourself some of our award-winning Cart Noir – it’s a 4.8% smooth porter style ale which should go down very nicely in the autumn days ahead.
We’re pleased and excited to announce that our Cart Noir (4.8%) is now available in 330ml bottles. Cases of 24 are available to purchase direct from ourselves.
We’re over the moon to receive another award – this time for our Ca’Canny (5.2%). It has just won “Best Ale” at the Nolia Beer Festival held in Sweden, which is a great achievement as it means it was the Overall Champion in the competition. Our distributors, Tjaerdalen Beer and Whisky, put the beer forward for us and and said “the judges were very impressed with it and recommended it to compliment game dishes”. This takes our current awards total to 56.
It’s been a while since we’ve done anything new in the brewery but it’s finally here – the new seasonal beer so many have been asking for 🙂 We’ve been listening to what our customers have been saying and, therefore, we present you with our very light, very hoppy (contains 6 different varieties) 3.4% summer beer – Sunriser. Going out to pubs this week and soon available to buy direct from the website.
We’re going to be manning a stall at Barrhead’s Christmas Market next weekend.. We’ll be giving out samples and selling bottles and mini-casks of our lovely, local beers so please pop along and see us. We’ll be just outside ASDA on the square. For more info visit:
Jaguar was awarded Silver in the Supreme Champion Beer of Britain competition at this year’s Great British Beer Festival,
The GBBF is still running at London’s Olympia Exhibition centre until Sunday.
After being nominated previously at a local level, Jaguar won it’s class to be crowned Best Golden Ale in Britain.
It then went on to be placed second overall to take the silver.
Jaguar is available from the brewery, on-line and at many outlets across the central belt, including:
Waterside – Barrhead, Bon Accord, Sloans, Blackfriars ( all Glasgow) Blue Blazer and Cloisters (Edinburgh)
Pivo Estivo – our hugely popular beer in cask, is now available in 500ml bottle! Being launched in ALDI stores across Scotland this week as part of their Summer Beer Festival, it is also available direct from the brewery (in cases of 12) and from various other outlets in the central belt. We did some “staff sampling” the other day and can safely say that it’s tasting great – very thirst-quenching!
We are pleased to announce that our online shop is now up and running – just in time for the festive season. Our newest outlet, the Twisted Thistle (formally known as Telstar) in Old Kilpatrick is now open. Always serving at least one Kelburn beer alongside other guest ales, and with a lovely food menu, this spanking new pub is well worth a visit. Their website is http://thetwistedthistle.co.uk/
Kelburn’s Director, Derek Moore has for many years been proud to be part of the Tartan Army. He is a well known foot soldier who has been following Scotland home and away since the World Cup in West Germany 1974.
In 2007 Derek was asked to produce a beer for the Tartan Army and he did so with a light, zesty 4.3% ale of the same name.
Since then Tartan Army was available in casks when Scotland played competitive matches and more recently in bottles.
Due to new restrictions with using the name Tartan Army, Kelburn will not be producing any more casks or bottles with the Tartan Army name.
Now is your last chance to get a case of Tartan Army or two. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
A limited number of cases of a dozen 500ml bottles are available.
Call or email the Brewery for more details. – We can also now sell direct to the public.
For fans of this fine brew, we have plans to continue to use the recipe, but re-branded.
We are very pleased to announce that we are now licensed to sell direct to the public. This means our bottled beers, mini casks and polypins are all available direct from the brewery. Great for the festive season – for gifts or parties! Please call or email for more info. And coming very soon – available to buy online from this website. Watch this space!
